so maybe it was just indeed a limited time and now is gone ...thank you !

Last confirmed report of it working was 1/30/2024. Load up MW3, go down to DMZ, and once that loads up check the store, or go to “active duty”, then select operator, and see if Lara is there.

Season 2 may have patched this workaround out.
