CoD HQ not loading when launching game via Steam Randgrid.sys (2)

I've been uninstalling, reinstalling, verifying my cache and looking at tons of other posts to try and fix my CoD game as well as looking at the bootstrapper log to see what was wrong and I keep getting the same message of

Failed to open \??\F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Call of Duty HQ\randgrid.sys (2).

I've felt like I tried looking at a million different threads for a solution and I've tried so many things, even resetting my bios, reinstalling my drivers but the game just seems to not work anymore. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.

Solution 2 for the first issue fixes it.

I copied Randgrid to my original install drive and it didn't do anything different. Should I replace the Randgrid on my currently installed drive of the game and only keep it on the previous drive that my game was on?

No idea, try experimenting. This error is a complete mystery still, but it IS saying F: drive, though.

Fixed it! turns out I had Call of Duty HQ on multiple drives and I just copy and pasted the Randgrid file enough times into every folder until eventually the game finally launched.

WTH.. The game should only be on one drive???

fixed for my situation. But which file points to the old file location? Can we just delete the "cache" or "saves" files which points the location?

Thanks, it works! BUT... WTF??? Devs of this piece of... game should be kicked out of gamedev forever.
