Should I get Mw2 or Mw3 for homelander skin

((Update: I GOT HIM, I’m so happy with his skin so the discussion is closed, I’m now saving for starlight))

I heard the games are bad, I’m contemplating just getting the game for the boys homelander skin that might come up for the release of season 4 of the boys, to be clear, i just want to know if it’s worth it. I’m a big fan of the boys and enjoy cod but im not sure if I should get the game for the reviews as I’d mostly be getting it for Anthony Starr and homelander.

The skin is a limited time make sure it is out if you just want the skin. But skins are only tied to mw3 or mw2 or black ops 6.

When warzone ends the skins will only be in those games.

The skin is limited time. It's a MWII skin so it carries over to all the current CODs available. Currently there's no confirmation if it'll carry over to the next COD game.

Oh so like- if I get it on the store will it let me purchase it? I don’t have mw2 or 3 I just have the standard base game, vanguard and the old mw, it’s been a long time since I played it so I’d mostly be getting for the skin s

Yeah, you don't need to own any of the games. There is no guarantee they will be in future ones though.

Yes. The old games no. How it works is mw3 skins carry to mw3 and warzone 2, mw2 2022 skins carry to mw2 2022 and warzone and then black ops 6 skins carry to warzone and black ops 6.

Black ops 6 isn't out yet.

If it a warzone only skin it will most likely be gone when a new warzone comes out and won't be available in any of the games.

When a new warzone comes out there will be a certain amount of new games tied to it.

Currently mw2022 and mw2023 are tied to warzone and black ops 6.

However if you own the old games you can still use your skins for those games just not warzone.

This what happen when warzone 1 was shut down. Warzone 2 is warzone and it will probably be shut down in the future when warzone 3 is made but they will just call it warzone.

It's pretty weird to buy game only because of some skin that you will be able to use half of the time anyway

Multiplayer is the only place to use skins whether it be zombies or actual multiplayer or dmz.

Obviously. He's asking about buying game and both DMZ and Warzone are free to play. Zombies are in such a sad state that no sane person would pay to play it. So yeah, multiplayer.

All the Promos for MW II are finished, You won't be able to buy it in there. Technically you only need warzone to buy it, but the base model will only return in MW III, when the next Season of The Boys starts on Amazon.
MW III is only worth to buy at half price but the next sale is on June 29th... I doubt the promo will last that long...
