Im diamond 1 and it puts me against irridecent....?
where is the logic in this. is it because I havent bought a skin so the devs punish me? These devs are the worst cod has ever seen. It gives me diamond 1 teammates every game and puts me against crimson 3 and irridecents, and its not a just a couple teams, every other team is at least crimson or high diamond. Im not blaming my teamamtes for being bad but it straight up makes it unfair, if im diamond, put me against diamonds. what is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard about that.

Firstly, it may be helpful to know your all time Win/Loss Ratio. Generally should be around 1:1. Menu->Stats->Ranked Win/Loss Ratio

Ranked has an unpublished metric to match on and does not use diamond/iridescent, as a measure of skill. Usually, the unpublished metric looks at Win Loss ratio. If you are a bronze player and win 10 games in a row, you will probably end up in a lobby with golds. You are probably too good and the game is trying to make you lose some games by putting you against harder players.

Ranked games are designed to be hard as its a competitive mode. The point is on average, you should lose half of your games. The idea is that if you verse players that are better than you, it will help you to become a better player.

Diamond 1 is an elite group of players. Lets assume, Activision was manipulating ranked based on skins. They have let you get an extremely long way, given you haven't brought skins. Why not manipulate it at gold rank?

Understood, it makes sense, but is terrible design. What is the point of having a rank? SR should determine your level of skill, and place you with people of similar skill, if you exceed that skill, then you should have higher sr. It simply isn't fun playing with cocaine snorting crimsons and irridecents, then going to ♥♥♥ lobbies where its just too easy. I know it is an ideal, and the game simply isn't built that way, but based on what you have described, there is no real way to tell if you are playing good or not. The only thing I can go off of is by some unknown algorithm that is developed by people that made a terrible call of duty game. I like warzone a lot but you have to admit, wz3 is burning garbage.
