call of duty won't launch in steam

i'm trying to launch call of duty and it's not working. it acts like it's about to load then the play button comes back and nothing happens. below are my specs -- just built this PC two days ago. any solutions for this problem? i've tried running as admin but doesn't fix it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock B650E PG RIPTIDE WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

have you tried rebooting then start? I had same issue and the problem was caused by some software that conflicts with game on launch. So I'd try to shut all third-party software you dont need and try again after rebooting

yes i tried this and it didn't fix it. not sure what's going on.
