Constant Direct X Error 0x8007000E when launching MW3
Hello everyone, I've been having this problem for about a month now and have tried any and all fixes I could think of. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted any directx shaders cache, updated my Nvidia / Intel drivers, fresh install of Windows 10 / 11, turned off any overlays i have from any apps, everything's up to date on it. I even took my gaming pc to a repair shop who swapped a 3060 in and played for 30 minutes "just fine" and even did a fresh install of Windows 11.

They ended up saying my GPU is fried and getting to 80-90 degrees celsius... I tried to do the same thing to the 3080 and I couldn't duplicate it without even getting past the launch screen and getting this stupid error. I've never had it overheat nor ran so poorly for a year until the week of Feb 14th. I made sure to use DDU and uninstall current graphics drivers before trying a 1050 ti I have laying around and got the game to run 20 minutes before crashing. Anyone going through the same thing with a solution please post. Thanks!

I've never overclocked anything besides the previous owner of the GPU overclocked the card only.

My build, everything is 1 year old but the GPU:
MoBO - AsRock Z790 Pro R5 Wifi
CPU - 13th Gen Intel i7 13700k
USED GPU - Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Gigabyte Aorus Master 10G (bought used and was barely mined on.)
RAM - G Skillz Trident RGB Z 2x16gb
PSU - Corsair RM850x
CPU Cooler - Cooler master ML240

Try this https://youtu.be/e4gYoAgKeZY?si=dTMz-y3pE-lEqsqs specifically look at timestamp 2:35 - Multiple GPU Fix, since you have an integrated GPU with that processor and a dedicated graphics card. I believe you want the folder sp23 though, not mp23 as he shows in the video.

yup i had the direct X issue but was able ti fix it using a multiple GPU fix just not the one shown in that video, i went to the Device manager and selected the correct GPU , Right Clicked , then click update --> then Browse myPC for drivers --> then Next window a file path will auto populate dont click browse or next but click let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer ..... and a list of GPU will come up, make sure the one your trying to use is ontop and finish moving through the screens.. this should work but when you shutdown your pc you might have to do it again when you start it back up.. let me know if this helped

also note this fixed the direct X issue and i was able to play for about two more weeks until a whole new bag of issues came up where the game just wont launch ... i know a ton of people are having the same issue ... but the fix i layed out did work for the direct X issue

putting everything on low and updating this helped my crashes... Nvidia Image Scaling is the only way my game wont crash... very stupid..

I have same problem with same motherboard. The problem is not only for MW3. After 3 days of research and contact activision, you just need to update your drivers and your BIOS. After BIOS update, the game launch correctly.
Check on ASUS website for update tutorial
