campaign comparison between the original MW trilogy and the reboot MW trilogy
so full disclosure i played the reboot trilogy before i played the original trilogy though i knew about various campaign moments. i recently completed the original trilogy for the first time so i thought i'd make a quick comparison thread strictly for the campaigns not the graphics or multiplayer. if there were collectibles that explained things i did not see them.

heres what the reboot trilogy does better:

1. ghost is far more present and actually feels like a character (i genuinely couldnt tell you anything about the original ghost other than he looks cool, hes british, and he dies with roach and i finished MW2 less than 1 week ago)

2. gaz isnt some random guy who just dies at the end of the game (i think i genuinely couldnt tell)

3. the prison break mission in the new MW3 is better than the one in the original MW2

4. all gillied up in the reboot is more open ended and gives you multiple ways to do the objective (the original had better storytelling though)

heres what the original trilogy does better:

1. price is genuinely badass and takes things seriously

2. the villains are better in every possible way

3. task force 141 doesnt teleport every where and when they cant get somewhere on time you play as someone else who can (in the reboot this was especially bad in MW3)

4. the levels are FAR more memorable and interesting (i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVED the russian invasion missions in MW2 and the last level in MW3)

5. the original trilogy had balls (outside of the farah mission in MW1 reboot the reboot trilogy had no genuinely dark or disturbing moments and dont get me started on that god awful "mission" thats supposed to be no russian in MW3 reboot)

6. soap's death had impact

7. dead characters stayed dead and you didnt have to play a separate multiplayer game mode to be introduced to characters (or have dead characters be resurrected)
