China on the other hand, giant market, so they'll try and tiptoe around stepping on any toes there.
The propaganda part is debatable, at best the government is assisting with it because it paints them in a good light, not steering them in a direction to paint them in a good light, rain or shine there will still be media that paints america as good and any potential foreign threat as bad, because that's what consumers like, it's basically become the "King's Knight vs The Dragon" trope of warfare themed media.
Kevin Spacey is not a bad guy. He did not kill anyone.
Uncle Sam's minions - the CIA and the army are the bad guys.
2003 unjustified invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq was the biggest war crime in the 21st century.
Where are those WMDs?
To quote G.W.Bush: "...they must be somewhere...*giggle*..."
Also, Russia, meaning government(s), always above reproach. 😆
The game is literally called "call of duty". As the name suggests, it is heavily stylized with american patriotism based on fictional events like how Metal Gear Solid is. Except in this case it wears it quite literally on its sleeve by naming itself "Call of Duty"; "the call of duty" being one of the most prominent phrases in regards to american patriotism of the WW2 era. You're not being clever here by pointing this out. If this is not what you like, then there are several other tankie shooters out there for woke people like yourself, that you could play instead, that embellish the soviet and russia's current military for a different take. This is a video game, it's not a history book of real events.
Games are a form of entertainment. In my opinion, one of the best, because they are interactive compared to movies, in which a person is only a passive spectator.
Because games are interactive, they can be used as an excellent form of propaganda.
MGS does not twist history to make a particular nation, such as Russia or Iran, into war criminals.
As I mentioned in the first post COD4 used real events that took place in history, but changed the perpetrators. MGS doesn't do that.
As for "American patriotism." During World War II, it was understandable because Hitler first declared war on the US, and at the time (late 1941) America was still friendly to Hitler.
But what does "American patriotism" have to do with Iraq? What did Iraq do to America?
As far as I know the American invasion of Iraq was a textbook example of a war crime.
I once read a story. A few months after Operation Iraqi Freedom was over and the Americans had destroyed and removed the Iraqi government, American soldiers were patrolling the streets of Baghdad. One day an Iraqi civilian approached a group of American soldiers on patrol and asked them:
"Do you see a problem here?"
The soldiers looked at each other and replied:
"No. We don't see any problems here. Everything is fine."
Then the Iraqi civilian asked them in a raised voice:
"If everything is fine. Then what are you doing here?"
Shortly thereafter, Iraqi snipers began killing American soldiers all over Iraq.
The war in Iraq was completely unjustified and was a war crime. American patriotism has nothing to do with it.
Let the politicians do their job..... This is for gaming problems
