Preload STEAM?
Where is the preload on Steam? I switched to steam when it was possible again, better overview, better download rate, communityhub etc. The battle net launcher is unfortunately a disaster, but it's incomprehensible that Activision regularly discriminates against players on Steam. A preload on the PC should be possible here as well! shame on you

what are you talking about

The Season 2 Content Update.
Battle net players already can pre-load it.
Activision Blizzard wants the extra money from Steam for their product, but still have advantages for the customers on their own launcher so People rather choose that option.

in principle understandable but in times of crossplay where ps and co also have preload incomprehensible. in addition, the battle launcher is really bad. but yes, you're right. it's just annoying

nah, you have no idea

preloads are for unreleased games on steam, there's no such thing as update preload on steam as encrypting an update is not possible in the steamapi

preload on steam requires for the data to be encrypted and it has to be requested by the devs from valve but that is only possible for unreleased games and only 48 hours from release

no they didn't, not a single one

preloads have to be encrypted and you can't encrypt an update

dunno what siege you're talking about either

To be fair, there are games that add the update files into the game before the update releases. The files are just unavailable until the update officially drops

ubisoft have their own system, they don't need to rely on steam for it
