Dmz for mw3?

Reinstalled mw3 with a friend because there was a dmz update. When I choose dmz from mw3 it launches mw2 and play mw2 dmz. We tried different ways to open dmz thinikg it was a bug but we got no where. Today I'm watching a clip from stodah playing dmz with mw3 weapons..am I doing something wrong? How do you play dmz with mw3 weapons??

You don't. DMZ was cancelled moving forward. Was in an official announcement that DMZ would only be playable in MW2. You probably were watching the campaign which uses open combat missions, essentially DMZ deployments with some dialogue added in.

There are probably a few people in the companies involved who want DMZ to be brought forward, considering it's gotten a couple of updates after MW3 was released.

Something like that - super confusing as usual. It's probably detrimental to development resources to even continue supporting it in this capacity, and it should absolutely be brought forward into MW3 since it's the foundation of gameplay for the Campaign. Mismanagement might be at the heart of things, considering the 1900 laid-off employees.
