Error Code: 0xc0000005 (0) N
I've been getting error 0xc0000005 (0) N every. single. time. I play Ranked match. It crashes every time before match starts and I have completely lost all SR because of it.

I asked Support if they could give me my SR back but they replied with this -

"I completely understand your perspective. It's important to note that as player support, we don't have the capability to restore SR (Skill Rating). The troubleshooting provided aims to prevent future game crashes. I recommend submitting your feedback and reporting any bugs you encounter through the following link: https://support.activision.com/modern-warfare-ii/articles/modern-warfare-ii-feedback-and-bug-reporting. The studio highly values player feedback, and many in-game changes are driven by comments and input from players like yourself.

To compensate for the inconvenience, I can provide you with 2XP for 1 hour and 2 weapon XP for 1 hour. I understand it may not fully address the issue, but I hope it enhances your gaming experience.

Looking forward to your response"

They have given up trying to help me as I have tried all their trouble shooting. The only 'change' I did to my pc before had was shutdown then press the powerswitch at the back as I was installing new desk legs. I assumed it has something to do with the RAM as I believe this is the only thing that could really be 'wiped' during this yet I did a diagnostic and nothing changed and it is healthy.

I have tried the intel xtreme performance core trick
windows clean install
registery editing
emptying directx cache
wiping ram
re-downloading the entire game
cleaning steam cache
closing background programs/processes

It's like I am banned from playing the Ranked playlist.

SAME . EXCEPT my game just closes when loading a ranked match, never had a problem till After there 1 31 2024 patch, i reinstalled game did not fix it, lost 1000 sk 8 hrs in suspension, knocked from silver 1 to bronze 1 if that is the response ITS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laughable typical activision response we are screwed, not to mention the hours it took to get to Silver:AlaskanMoose::steamthumbsdown::steamthumbsdown:

It is unfortunate that they do not have a way to solve this or at least try to provide support.
We spend money on the best components so we can play well and they don't solve anything
Also the same thing has happened to me, I would be in gold 3 at least and now in bonce 3
It is regrettable that the time wasted on this ♥♥♥♥ and that the SRs are not able to compensate by detecting that the problem is not ours but theirs.
And insulting that they offer you double points hahahaha
P.S:
I have done the same checks of all kinds and cleaning everything, even trying previous nvidia drivers and nothing at all
Shame on you for Activision for making ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games and Steam for selling their games.

Exactamente lo mismo
Es lamentable que que no tengan la manera de solucionar esto o almenos de intentar dar soporte
Gastamos dinero en los mejores componentes para poder jugar bien y que no solucionen nada
Además me a pasado lo mismo estaría en oro 3 por lo menos y ahora en bonce 3
Lamentable el tiempo perdido en esta MIERDA y que no sean capaces decompensar los SR detectando que el problema no es nuestro sinó de ellos
Y insultante que te ofrezcan puntos dobles jajajaja
PD:
He hecho lo mismo comprobaciones de todo tipo y limpieza de todo incluso probando drivers nvidia anteriores y nada de nada
Vergüenza os tendría que dar activision por hacer juegos de mierda y steam por vender sus juegos

So I found the work-a-round that works for me. Issue still happens if I stay on the main screen while searching for ranked BUT if you go to customise a loadout then go into the gunsmith while searching and stay on that screen until loading then you will bypass the crash and get in.

Stupid I know. I will update with Activision response soon.

I wouldn't say the issue is resolved when I can't look at the main menus while finding a match and there seems to be no fix for it PLUS the fact I do not get my 2weeks worth of SR or Rank in general back.

But if there is truely no fix for this error and I now have to play like this than yes my issue is resolved.

I'm also getting this - I've been using the gunsmith workaround as well but i get major packet burst when a grenade goes off near me or when I get shot, change classes etc. Have you had any luck yet? I've tried every single thing suggested. It's only started happening since the most recent update

I've only had luck with gunsmith too and have tried all the suggestions I could find. I too have had the issue since last update so maybe a next one will fix it hopefully.

Exactly what I have been experiencing! Lost 650 +/- SR and LOTS of suspensions because they hire for diversity and inclusion instead of hiring the best person for the job.

Anyone tried the game since the update?
i have been having the same problem aswell. randomly getting kicked in games, being hours of suppensions and around 1400 sr taken away in total. i have search every community and search over google, you tube, spoke with the engineering team where i bought my pc from. No one has a solution apart the same things i have tried. its unbelievable that no one is owning up to this and making a fix..

my error code and name was slightly differant tho but i have been having the issues around 2 weeks.. could u all check ur error codes and tell me if they match..
