Game keeps saying there is an update in the launcher but nothing in my downloads

Anyone having the issue where you open up the game and it tells you "New update available. Please update the gamer via launcher." and when you try to update it, there is no option to update? I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling but so far nothing.

This happened to me before and I was able to fix it by removing some cache files (I'll link an article that explains how to do this). Then, Season2 drops, and this same problem happens again, except this time deleting the cache files doesn't fix it. What fixed it this time was going into Steam, right click MW3, choose properties, go to installed files tab, then click "verify integrity of game files".
