I've seen some people complaining about the game restarting like 4 times before loading in MW2 so people do still play it but I can't say how many.
MW3 is barely worth buying only because there's ♥♥♥♥ all other decent shooters that aren't tainted by hero shooter/moba nonsense. I've tried them all. Overwatch really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the genre.
MW3 is a .. bittersweet experience. They included old maps but I swear they made them bigger or something. The flow of the old maps is "off." IMO every map is garbage except Shipment, Shoot House, High Rise and Meat. And they lock those maps (except Highrise) behind rotating weekly modes. It's honestly impressive how consistently bad the maps are. Some are better than others but they all pale in comparison to Treyarch's maps.
