Shader preloading everytime
Recently the game seems to make me preload the shaders everytime I boot up. Anyone got a fix for this? Can't find anything online.

try opening the cod file path and when you are in the directory open cod23 and delete all the files inside just that folder then restart the game which will reload the shaders, close and reopen and see if it works like this.
They do this all the time if there's any update, since MW2019. Sometimes it takes a few days for the game to realize the shader is loaded.
Right now, mine shader preload froze to 98%. It's been half an hour, no progress or anything. We don't know what the f is shader up to.
Have you tried resetting the shader preload from graphics settings?

Could you explain this pls, I dont understand what I have to do.. haha
The trick is to keep switching screens at the menu, example: load into resurgence then back out then click on another game mode. You'll see the shader cache go up each time you load different game modes. Hope this makes sense... The shader completion percentage goes up 2% each time. If you stay one game mode it gets stuck.. only fix I've found, hope it works!
After a GPU update too :yellowengineer:
I think this is just a visual glitch and they are actually preloading in the background.

When you launch matchmaking and then back out it refreshes the preloader status is all.

Either way my games been forcing me to pre load shaders everytime I boot up since the update on 3/6/24.

For a Triple A game studio it’s astonishing how many minor issues they have with everything… not to mention the incompetence related to anti-cheat technology.
Launching and exiting matchmaking does not reset the shaders percentage value you have to wait till the game deems necessary to preload them and if you wanna do it right keep changing game modes it will entice it more than matchmaking. It freezes and never moves cause activation gave up on perfecting their game and believe money is more important than player experience these days. To delete shaders open your file explorer go to your program files 86 open steam open steam apps open common open call of duty open cod23
Why if mine doesn’t have a cod 23 folder mine has cod 22

^^^ This guy got it. Annoying but it works. Have now developed a seething rage for everything this game stands for.
How long does the pre-shaders for the mw3 Campaign take, ik for the regualr cod mw3 its like 2-3 mins
Junk game everyday I have too keep pre loading the shaders. Do t even realize it till I get into a ranked war zone game an its lagging in an out.

Yeah I just made a post on this not that long ago. I have spent the better part of my day diagnosing my system, because they do not know how to push updates. They got me for $70. That is all, I will never buy another game from this franchise again. It is no better than Madden at this point.
