They fix a couple things that break other things. It's like whack-a-mole with these people.
They always go on holiday for about 3 weeks. But they aren't working on anything in that time.
They do a crunch before they leave and another crunch when they get back. That's what causes a lot of the issues. Too much crunch.
The OG devs from MW2 (2009) are sadly gone either from developing or from the game studios altogether. The new, younger generation of coders are the ones that have a hard time not breaking things.
