reWASD (Causes Crashes) Not Cheat Software

reWASD is not cheating software.

If you have an Xbox controller and a Playstation Plus subscription to play the older Sony games, you're able to rebind the expected Playstation Controller buttons to match your Xbox controller or whatever is more comfortable. This works for any controller, in fact. It's such a widely accepted solution for cross-controller compatibility that this update feels like more of an attack on Sony and their other PC platform competitors. It's a blanketed target of "cheaters" that just so happens to cover compatibility with their competitors.

It's not right and it's not fair.

reWASD doesn't run on startup. The game just scans the system to check if it's installed. The workaround really should check if the application is running. If I'm not mistaken, the game itself allows you to update your controller scheme. Steam also has it's own Big Picture controller settings from the community. I can't think of a reason to have both reWASD running and CoD.

I'm also conflicted by this game scanning my installed applications. On one-hand, I'm on an OS owned by the same company that owns the game. They surely already know what I have installed. On the other hand, it still feels like an invasion of privacy, something I'm not sure Steam should just let games do.

also I wasn't downplaying the massive cheating problem on call of duty, you are. Your IQ is above average too as well as your penis im sure lmao. struck a nerve didn't I. There are 4 work arounds to open CoD right now with reWASD running in the discord but you wouldn't know that because you aren't here for conversation you are here to troll.

I used rewasd for my dual sense edge controller in Rocket League. Guess I will go back to using DS4Windows (inferior tbh.) Rewasd worked great for allowing me to use my new Duale Sense Edge controller on PC. I had to use it for Diablo 4 since the native DS controller support was botched at launch. Annoying I have to redo my settings in another app.

JackFrags makes a single youtube video, devs block the software days after...

Game is riddled with Owning Engine Players, devs do nothing (which is crazy because they all hack the unlocks, which means they dont even buy cosmetics.)

** Edit - Clarification sake, I play MnK in FPS/most games, rocket/d4/BoB/Racing sims I play on controller.

you're wrong, DS4/5 allow you to configure a kind of aimbot + macros + delays !
the fact is those settings are deeper and more difficult to apply in the app and [TTtV]K1ll3rBL0Z cant use it easily
once again (like ReWaSD) something is corrupted by users on his primarly function and punish the others
i understand those who made the choice to uninstall this piece of sh1t and prefer continue to use legaly their app

what this does is people that use rewasd for other games cant even play cod anymore with out deleting it first.... i use it for other games that dont have controller support... because i have nerve damage and i cant use the keyboard for more than 15mins the my hands go numb... stupid update... wont be bying anymore cod games... lost a customer....valo has their ♥♥♥♥ together better than a billion dollar company

Also ReWASD does have the capability to work like a XIM or Chronus who also claim to not be for cheating. But I know not a single disabled gamer that uses ANY of them, because we have self respect.

Unauthorized by who, by what right? It's an installed application, not a running application. A video game should not be able to dictate which applications I have installed on my Personal Computer.

how does it know its there if its not running? it does not scan installed apps would take to long every time you launched it, ive hundreds of programes installed

reWASD is not a cheat... its a legit software that as plenty of legit accessibility applications and a very usefull tool for peoples with disabilities. The solution of not allowing the software to be installed is wrong and a lazy band-aid... not to mention it will probably damage the company, I hope reWASD will sue them for their loss ... i used reWASD to play japanese games that have button mappings inverted, i used reWASD to remap dodge in soulslikes game to a setup that is deeply wroten in my muscle memory... i used reWASD to notify me when my controler batteries were low.
