Phone Verification not working?
Anyone else having an issue that when you verify your phone on steam the game still asks you to verify it again on a never ending loop? I can't seem to get a hold of Steam or Activision help for this verification issue. If anyone has some tips it would all be appreciated. P.S. I tried verifying game files, full uninstall and install, remove my number and add it again, and trying a whole different number.

EDIT 1 (since I can't mark my own post as an answer)(12/17/23):
So I got my game to work finally! As for everyone trying the remove phone and add it again, that only works once and then you have to do it again every time the game closes or crashes. After talking to both steam and activision they both say they can't help since steam doesn't help with in game issues but activision cant help with phone verification. But I got it to work by simply removing my number, adding it again, waiting 24 hours to verify it from the game. After waiting the 24 hours the game will ask you to verify and will bring you to steam to do it, if you waited the 24 hours the steam area will have a real prompt for verifying, but you MUST WAIT 24 hours otherwise it will tell you that you have done it too recently.
This has worked for me and about 7 of my friends. Since its consistent I assume this should help most if not all of you.

TLDR: Remove your phone from steam, add it again, wait 24 hours, verify from in game.

My friend has the same problem, but we found a way out, he launches the game not through Steam, but through the game folder, try it!
Do a Bug Report at " https://support.activision.com/feedback-and-bug-report " everyone of you hopefully they Fix it before the Holidays are over.
SOO GUYS, I DONT SPEAK ENGLISH AND PLAN TO LEARN BUT I KNOW RESOLVE THAT PROBLEM.
1° ENTER IN GAME
2° PUT IN COMPANY (MW2 OR MW3)
3° GO BACK TO THE LOBBY AND PRESS ESC MULTIPLES TIMES
4° HAVE FUN
Setting on steam delete web data just as game starts works for me

doesnt work, that has nothing to do with phone verification. Activision support themselves told me that after I told them I activated that. But I found a fix that works and since I found it 8 of my friends have also had it work. 1 new since I updated my original post.
I think I found a fix, restarted the game 7 times now and no signs of this "Account verification" bs.

1. turn off Steam overlay inside the game (Left top corner, Steam, settings, In game.)
2. Press windows key and type: Default apps, hit enter.
Find a secondary Web browser (or download one) and set to windows default browser, go back and search for your primary browser then set it to default back again.
3. Run Steam as admin, start the game and wait for that cute screen pop up.
4. Press Verify Account and log into your Steam account on the browser window that will open.
5. Verify your number on Steam and keep the web page with the success message open.
6. Press the First button inside the game "I have verified" and wait patiently, hold the urge to click elsewhere by praying.

The game should restart and run nice and smooth, scary screen gone, no more sad.
For those that already did the once per day verification on steam, try unliking your phone number, ALT+F4 the game, close the browser tab, open the game and click on the message that sends you where to set the new number for Steam INSIDE THE BROWSER, go back to the game after linking it back and press that you've already done the verify steps and wait, maybe it will fix like mine did but I'm just guessing by now.

There's two parking spots in my forehead since this verify bs started 10 days ago.

Restarted my pc and the game still running!! Hope it fixes for you too!
I use firefox as default browser btw, didn't work with brave.
this is fking terrible spent 160$ on this game and cant play it
♥♥♥♥, what kind of collective farm is this and not a game, they ♥♥♥♥ us for $65....

Immin contact with the steam support 😅
They told me to unlink my phonenumber and add it again, its worse now and after this advise i got no other response from them since 1 day 🥳
someone get 1 solution ?
