Phone Verification not working?
Anyone else having an issue that when you verify your phone on steam the game still asks you to verify it again on a never ending loop? I can't seem to get a hold of Steam or Activision help for this verification issue. If anyone has some tips it would all be appreciated. P.S. I tried verifying game files, full uninstall and install, remove my number and add it again, and trying a whole different number.

EDIT 1 (since I can't mark my own post as an answer)(12/17/23):
So I got my game to work finally! As for everyone trying the remove phone and add it again, that only works once and then you have to do it again every time the game closes or crashes. After talking to both steam and activision they both say they can't help since steam doesn't help with in game issues but activision cant help with phone verification. But I got it to work by simply removing my number, adding it again, waiting 24 hours to verify it from the game. After waiting the 24 hours the game will ask you to verify and will bring you to steam to do it, if you waited the 24 hours the steam area will have a real prompt for verifying, but you MUST WAIT 24 hours otherwise it will tell you that you have done it too recently.
This has worked for me and about 7 of my friends. Since its consistent I assume this should help most if not all of you.

TLDR: Remove your phone from steam, add it again, wait 24 hours, verify from in game.

Unfortunately, this does not carry over the paid content you bought such as the multiplayer portions of the game or zombies.

This is helpful if you're only playing Battle Royale so I'm still at a loss on how I can even play my game.
Works perfectly fine on my Battle Net and my Xbox but for some reason the steam verification for this game keeps going in a loop
Yes you do carry all your stuff everything you buy is on cod hq steam is just a luncher all you have to do is unlink steam and link battlenet on your cod hq i did it and i have everything i payed for skins guns etc

this fixed it for me :
unlinking my battlenet acc. from the activision website.
I own MW2019 on battlenet , but MW2/MW3 on steam .

Been trying all of your guys ideas, nothing works for me. Anyone have a new fix? I'm sick of seeing this ACCOUNT VERIFICATION REQUIRED screen i'm getting pissed.

And unlinking steam account and relinking a brand new battlenet account, why would I do that. If it gets fixed u can't relink an account for a year or whatever it says.

Just to help with fixes, I personally tried un-linking my Battlenet account and still had issues.
I relink it suddenly the game works, now today nothing works at all.

Going to MW3 campaign says my account is validated so I'm assuming it's fixed right? It loops back into the account verification page.

Only thing I've gotten to work every now and then is by readding my number.
But after a game crash it's telling me to repeat everything again so i'm stuck in an infinite loop.
Seems like the only fix is to hope that it fixes itself eventually, I'm using the same exact number for the Battle Net verification side of things and have zero issues if I just wanted to play the warzone game mode over there but the issue is I want to play the entire game I purchased on Steam

Ok I got it to work. I just waited over 24 hours after confirming my phone number with steam and tried again in MW3.

You'll probably have verification again after the next time you log in. But you won't be able to register your number again because you'll have to wait, lol

By my side i have gone to school an tuesday and came home and wanted to play cod (i paid 20$ for a skin 2 days before/ sunday) and it just randomly stopped next day i have the problem i used an other number didnt work and stuff i hope this will be fixed soon
