Stuck on a grey screen while loading the game

Hi everyone,

I have been unable to play modern Warfare 3 for 48 hours. I dont have any news from Activision/Sledgehammer for the ticket I submitted and I am running out of ideas for troubleshoot.
For context:
- I play MW3 on PC from Battle.net.
- I do not own MW2.
- I was able to play on December 6th AFTER downloading the WARZONE/SEASON 1 Update.

When I try to start the game, the introduction scene runs smoothly. I then get to the loading screen, with info such as loading palyer stats, loading weapons schemas,... After that i get to a screen with no display where I can see some garage with the weeler, a juggernaut and buggies ( seems like the room behind the firing range), and then the screen turns black/dark grey with nothing but my mouse cursor and I'm basically stuck here until I force the game to stop. Pressing keys does nothing, except for the tab key that stops the music and starts a sound cue running endlessly ( the sound cue feels like the message of the day sound but not sure).

One hint that I think that I found is the following information from the bootstrapperlog:

[11280] 12/09/23 13:24:25: Failed to match driver digest index (0).

[11280] 12/09/23 13:24:26: Success launching "cod.exe -uid auks hdeyguxs3zaumvlgvybm2vyc"

Here's a list of things that I tried so far:

-IN GAME:Press the top left corner back arrow to wait for the shaders to finish loading.

-Verify and Repair game files.

-Uninstall Game. Uninstall Battle.net

-Install Game in different location. Install Battle.net in different location.Install game without Campaign or MW2 Warzone or MW3 Warzone or without all of the above.

-open Battle.net as administrator

-Check for Game updates. Check for Geforce Experience updates. Check for firewall updates. Check for windows updates.

-Reset firewall rules. Turn off Firewall

-Restart Game. Restart Battle.net. Restart Computer.

-Deleting 'Call of Duty' folder in My Documents. Changing resolution parameters on game starting.

-Unchecking 'Read only' option in Call of Duty folder properties.

-Setting all Nvidia panel control settings to low

-Capping CPU usage

- Change game location

Actually being able to play on the 6th after the big update and not seeing many people mentionning this problem makes me feel like I am locally missing a file or something weird going on but as I said, I am running out of ideas to try and make this work, so if anyone has any idea to shoot that would be much appreciated.

same thing happening to me but i get to pause the game once i move or try to load into a game it starts tweaking all started the rebirth update lmk if ya find a fix to this lame game...

probably it tries to load a bugged skin, charm etc. that some people have and it freezes

Same, keep getting the damn gray screen after the loading screen, with info such as loading player stats, loading weapons etc. I've reinstall the game twice and verified the integrity of the files but no luck.

Same here it was working just fine a few hours ago running smooth till season 3 update now its just a gray screen with music at least there's music in windows Predatory lol

Yeah, having the same issue, This is ridiculous. Its so sad that a company of this magnitude cant even roll out an update without a bunch of bugs. Especially ones that do not let you log in.
