Friends appearing offline *KIND OF A FIX*

So I learned that if you go to DMZ you are able to join your friends through it. But then I thought "what If I play DMZ?" So I played a match and after I died I clicked "quit to desktop" and chilled out for a bit. Came back to play match of warzone and I died, upon returning to the menu and checking my friends list they were all online.

LONG STORY SHORT:
play a match of dmz(die to ai or players) and quit to desktop
chill out for maybe 30 mins
come to call of duty and play a match of warzone and after the game is done it should be fix

At least thats how it worked for me

EDIT: Maybe all you have to do is play a match of DMZ and quit to desktop
