Friends appearing offline when they are indeed online?!

I have a bug where it says ALL of my friends are offline but it says 11 people online, one I know is online because we are trying to play with each other. Please help!

m8`s, I have a solution, you need to create a group in the middle of the game, invite friends, and give one of the friends the role of group administrator, and then click on the "join" button

friends - group - create a group - invite friends - give the admin role to a friend - click "join"

Same, I'm the one appearing offline. I can't join from invite, or invite others. I have to join them from a group we made

Guys, I'm not sure that this method will work 100% for everyone, I just described how I was able to connect to my friends in the party

You need to edit your clan tag some how get on another console or have a friend sign into your account and change your clan tag and itll fix !

To fix this if you cant edit your clan tag get on another console or have your friend sign into your account on their console and change/ delete your clan tag !

There is no official fix from them but there is a workaround and it works for sure.
Anyone who tries and does not see their friends online will see that the clan tag has also changed and cannot be changed.
What I did was connect to my account (COD) from Sony (I'm a PC player) and I changed it (the clan tag) there and it worked again on the computer and I see my friends online

Removing your clan tag in-game seems to fix this issue. On the top right corner click your level (Profile), click "Edit clan tag" remove your tag and hit save. Then restart game and see if that works.

Solution in my case > join their games via steam, or let them join your game via steam. I hope this is not the permanent solution and that activision solves this quickly.
