SBMM
I hate it but I stopped buying COD. Why do people hate it but continue to buy the game every year expecting different results? Talk with your money or hush.

SBMM is cancer. It's not about pub stomping it's about random lobbies. Also, why do they break up lobbies every game now? That's how I used to make friends by playing multiple games with people and trash talking back and forth. Back in the good days of COD back in 2007-2012

Breaking up lobbies makes the sbmm work better. It means more people are searching for games at any given time. The more people that are searching the more players there are to match you with to keep you engaged. So if the system thinks you need a tough game to keep your interest it can find those players more easily since more people are searching. The system can't switch you from an easy, mid or hard game if you're staying in the same lobby.

With MW 2019 they not only introduced disbanding lobbies but also crossplay. A double whammy for a more effective sbmm.

Obviously it pisses off some but it appears to be more lucrative otherwise they would have toned it down.

Exactly why I quit. If me and others want to continue to play each other that should be our choice. Such a sad state COD is in.

The last cod i bought besides MWIII was MW2019 and i only bought this because my coworkers wanted me to so we could play. SBMM was one of the worst things to come to gaming period, it serves no purpose other than to punish you for being good. The game matches you against even enemies and you never feel like you get better, so you play more to try and improve then you get harder enemies so you play more to improve and so on and so till CODs playtime is skyhigh. All of this is having the opposite effect because player counts are dropping and dropping and will never have the literal millions OG titles like MW3 or Black ops 2 had. They bundled the last 4 or 5 games into one app and it barely breaks 100k when old titles would break a mil on 1 console on 1 game.

This is legit the last one I buy and just because aim assist is for unskilled players. I know because I used to dominate with gamepad in shooters.

The aim assist is either worse than MW2 or Vanguard, or the classic map designs are more geared towards aim assist users. I've never performed this poorly even starting out brand new. And watching the kill cams is hilarious.
The aim assist has been nerfed so much over the years. Even when it was stronger than it is now, kb/m still had the advantage.

Think about it for a minute, fr.
Cheats in games are a billion dollar industry now. Various cod cheats play a major role in that.

I never had a problem in MW2. Vanguard before that was insanely better for mnk. MW2 though I used my own tunes. I don't know if the same loadouts are going to work for normal people vs the aim assisted.

Mw 2019 barely had any cheats at all at launch. It wasnt until warzone that they started getting popular. And at this point its rampant. I know multiple people with a cronus. Its the price of 1 deluxe edition game.

With a cronus, u can use a mouse (with gamepad aim assist) and appear as a controller user too. 3/4 of the cheaters appear as controller users, regardless of what input theyre using.
I just miss when you could play a game and be in control of the game you paid for and are playing. It's not hard to leave a bad lobby. It's not hard to let players host their own servers with their own rules. CoD could be so good with the flexibility of 2009 with the tech of 2023.
