Error Code 0x00001338 HELP
So I've been getting this error on pretty consistent basis. The game will run just fine I'll play then crash with this error and then every time I go to turn it on it crashes with this error before I even get to the menu. I've tried about everything there is and no matter what it seems to only fix the issue for like 2 hours of game play before it crashes with the same error.

Does anyone know what can be causing this error? I really don't feel like verifying the game files or uninstalling the game completely every time I get this error which both I have now done several times...

Basics;
Make sure you have +35 GB free space on systemdisc C:
(for temporay files, shaders loading)

Set virtual memory to manual between 3000-26 000MB.
This game use a lot of it. Restart

If the game is on another disc, you need 10% more free space then the game size with the updates included. Remember all updates are normally downloaded to sysdisc first.

Close game. Clear download catche in steam settings. Steam restarts.

PC SPECS are:
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
64GB RAM

If you need any other let me know, space wise I have plenty of space on C drive and my SSD is 5TB so should also be more than enough!

I did everything you listed and still crashes on startup with the error.

1. turn off core isolation and reboot.
2. download and install this program: Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility
3. underclock your cpu from 55x to 49/50 in the performance ratio
4. run game and play. crashing stops

if you don't want to turn off core isolation then just do the cpu underclock in your bios

Same man.. I got pretty good pc with 16gb 3600mhz, 4070ti, i7 12700 fps good and all but it f crashes every 20 mins ffs
It is all about setting on your computer.

Set virtual memory to manual between 3000-26000 MB (this game uses a lot, win controlled)
Log into windows as admin and you will play as admin.
Try deactivate XMP and set it to a fix value for your sticks.
Do a new optimization of shaders

This should not even be a fking thing. However, I have tried and guess what. After about 30mins I've played it crashed again and I can't turn the game back on. Same error over and over and over again.
Have you updated your Bios and other HW on MB???

Yep, everything is completely up to date.
Update, I have Tried to go as far as doing a windows 11 update and didn't work so I reverted back to Windows 10 and reset the whole system. Game worked for about an hour after which it crashed with the same error code and now is back to crashing on start up every time

My previous post is to eliminate the normal errors people have on their computers.

I guess you have DDR5 and it is set on XMP??? set it to a lower speed or manual and test.

There is some of that "Soulmapp" writes that has to be done in this last gen computers.
They are to fast for MW II and III - it seems.
Don't use overclocking, your spec should run this game at any settings.
Remember to do an optimization as a first thing, if you get into the game.

Stop doing uninstall and reinstalling. It does NOT help against this DirectX error in almost all cases.
Make sure you have enbled the game in antivirus and firewall.
Don't run other anticheat program, when running cod.

Before you start. Delete the Call of Duty folder in your DOCuments

This solved the issue! Thank you! I can't believe having too good of a cpu would create an issue with the game but it sure did! Thank you so much for the help!
