MW3 or Battlefield 2042

With MW3 sitting a 28% Steam rating, was this or Battlefield 2042 a bigger ♥♥♥♥ show at launch?
Also, with Battlefield's patches, it is now a better game than MW2 (2022)... Calm down, it's my opinion.. Can anything save MW3 (2023) or is it a total lost cause seeing how they have decided to make CoD an annual release?

they are all garbage imo, but at least ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2042 fixed optimization so now its playable but playerbase is dead

Yeah, it's unfortunate, but that's what happens when a game screws the players at launch.. I ended up getting a refund and returned sometime later after buying it on sale for $20. It's fun now, but I'll never buy a Battlefield game on launch day again.

Man...I dont know. When I first started this FPS craziness in my life, I started w/ BF3 and COD (whichever game was out back in 2011ish). I totally sucked at both on console but then found my niche with the PC and BF3. Played BF3 religiously. Bought every DLC (loved Gunmaster and its associated maps - whatever DLC that was). Bought BF4 - but it was a little different and I kinda stayed w/ BF3. Then BF-Hardline came out and I played that religiously - but the game had pretty bad and obvious flaws. Case in point - the spawns were downright bad in TDM. Never was enamored w/ BF1 or BFV and didnt bother to continue to play. Just played BF3 from time to time. RB6 came along and defintiely took up a WHOLE bunch of gaming time too. Whew! To me RB6 is the perfect game, overall.

Fast forward to BF2042 and boy was it bad. You see - at this point I considered myself a decent player, close to 1-1 K/D and the like. But the game sucked and that's what brought me back to COD. COD-MW2 was pretty good, relative to BF2042. And - more importantly for me, I was having fun again. Mind you, as I mentioned before - I am maybe a 1-1 K/D player, but I felt like I was playing ok. After a bit - I went back to BF2042 but it seemed like it was full of bots now. Not to mention, if you think the keyboard/mouse debate is bad here - oh boy, it was downright brutal over on their discussion boards. With that said - I have heard what happened to DICE w/ personnel/creators etc. and its kind of sad. I uninstalled the game and maybe I will install it again (or is this a new PC - I cant remember). Side note: no one should ever buy IBUYPOWER gaming pc's - they suck.

TL/DR: I am quite enamored with COD MW2023 at the moment and not sure if I could do the whole BF2042 thingie again. RB6 is awesome, albeit I will admit after running and gunning in COD again, its hard to get adjusted to the slower although more realistic aspects of RB6. :)

MW3 is by far the best cod in the last 5 year and thats no cap. If you re bad at the game and cant have fun just admit that, but even tho this game was made by AI it is way ahead of MW2 and vanguard, maybe even CW. I would argue its even ahead of the OG MW2 and MW3, they was good at the time but if you go back now you'll see they were just early gaming industry buggy mess's that wouldn't survive a week nowadays. Stop looking at the past and being bias towards them, we get it you find them nostalgic but if it came out today the way it is, it would be ♥♥♥♥♥. That's fact's.

Before i buyed MW3/23 i also tried BF2042, because i wanted to like it and i havent played any BF since Bad Company 2 and was a huge fan of BF2 back then.
I have buyed and played COD 2 20 years ago, played the og Modern Warfare and then no CoD until Cold War, that i liked. I passed on Vanguard, but playes MW2/ '22 and also liked it, but played less than Cold War.
All i can say is that the experience with BF 2042 was so bad performance wise, i decided to refund. Clunky and slow movement and people lagging back and forth to me after 2 hours of testing was like - no way!
While BF 2042 was like €4, CoD MW3 was very expensive, but already worth the money because i have fun.
I dont buy every CoD or Shooter, i like SBMM because i profit from it, i'm just a casual and dont sweat. I'm not interested in any BP or Cosmetics at all and dont play for progression, but just for fun as im oldsql player.
So yes the companys greed and the todays facts in the gaming industry sucks a lot, but because i dont fall for it all the time and can controll myself and have another aproach to gaming than most others, i can bear the steep price and shallow and toxic marketing.
