"Skill based" matchmaking

I wonder too. I am at 1.00 K/D ratio, I play against poeple with maybe 6, killing all the map with a knife. So ridiculous. It kills my pleasure

Same problem here.

If i may suggest: Try switching to "gamepad".
I did this and the game became waaaaay easier.

It's not based on skill alone, but based on making you win/lose so you keep playing. Just like at a casino. Only the gullible ones think it's actually pure skill based.

I'm a pretty old guy and I am pretty crap as well. Here is the thing for me. If my team is getting wrecked, why should I stay and keep playing? OTOH, if my team is kicking ass on the other team, I don't like that either and tend to back off. What I want is a game where both sides are pretty much even. And BTW, I have noticed that in quite a lot of my losing games, when it finishes I see that one or more people have left my team.

When playing 6v6, one guy, even a mediocre guy, can make a huge difference if that person leaves or for some reason is dropped out of the game.

Overall my experience is that there are way too many unbalanced games. So from my POV the system of match making doesn't seem to be working very well.

I haven't played a CoD game in years. I bought MWIII and my first match the players I'm against are as one player on the forums put it "♥♥♥♥ to butts" running around in a squad of 2 to 4, all with attachments unlocked, their "sick" skins they grind'd for, dropshotting even though they're literally out numbering everyone they go up against. You basically kill one and the rest swarm you and you're dead, so at most you're just at a 1:1 so you're getting no kill streaks of your own to use.

My teammates will NOT capture points in hard point, domination, control. I turned off pretty much everything, but TDM and domination because even if we spawn on a point, everyone on my team runs past it. I have to cap it alone and then get swarmed by the enemy. It takes literal seconds just to stand there together and cap it. Which leads into my teammates want to do what the enemy does, run around fragging out, but since the enemy is deep in each others ass, that doesn't work. So we get torn apart all match, getting slaughtered by enemy kill streaks. A friend was watching me stream in discord and one of my teammates by the end of the match was 7-33 I can't imagine that guy had any kind of fun, but if he did, kudos to him, but I haven't played CoD since Ghosts so where are they getting my skill level from lol

I personally think that "winning" the game doesn't matter. What matters is the K/D ratio for many, many players. One Bad Boy YouTuber even stated that if his team wasn't doing well, it was a waste of time and one should leave.

And when you look at the Daily Challenges, the Armory Challenges and the Weapon Challenges, there is nothing there about winning. Everything comes down to kills... everything.

The only thing you get from trying to win a game is a few Calling Cards.

So if you play a game where the folks actually want to win a game like Domination... count yourself lucky.

This stuff has gotta change man, im punished for being a lifelong COD fan and thus being good at the game. Why am i punished for being good? In no other game like football or UFC is a person punished for being good only video games because no one wants to improve they only want to face other bad players. Been playing with some coworkers who arent as good and i was actually having fun till me winning us games raised their skill rating and now its back to being an ultra sweat fest and they cant compete. Lower and lower player numbers every year but they refuse to listen. I just want COD to be how it used to be Activision please me and many lifelong fans are begging for you to remove this.

it seems like the game forces you to have a 1.00 K/D which gives no reason to play the game if its trying to force skill or fun down peoples throats

i think its based on K/D not win/loose because my win/loose ratio is terrible and I'm at a 1.00 k/d. All other cod games I played (besides mw 2 2022) i would average a 2 k/d but for some reason in this game I can't even play the game. My first 5 hours I was doing good but now at my 10 hour mark I keep getting a 0.50 K/D per game. I'm done playing mw3 2023 becuase SBMM is a joke in this game.

i see more people playing on controller now a days.....if you try to play mouse and keyboard your asking to be farmed in MP.....Mouse and keyboard does come in clutch for zombies but thats it

i think no matter your skill level is SBMM is ruining the fun for a person, its better to have lobbies with random players over a system that puts you in a group of people that it thinks you are at the skill level of the group.

i did notice a strange thing when i switch to controller my time to kill is smaller then on on Mouse and keyboard if that is true then thats even worse. I overall have a negative opinion about this new cod
