Account hacked and shadowbanned

Yesterday I received an email telling me that a battle.net account has been added to my activision account and another one telling that i accepted a new friend request. Today I find that I am shadowbanned (it takes minutes to find a match and every lobby is full of cheaters). I never lost access to my account and I managed to change password and 2FA. I reported the hack to Activision and verified that I am indeed under investigation for offences (i suppose cheating).
Of course I was not cheating, and I wasn't even playing during the last few days. Anyone has dealt with this situation recently? How did it turn out?

I received emails from activision stating that a battle net account was linked to my activision account (it was random numbers and letters) and a new friend was added. I was not playing in the last few days let alone linking an account. What other explanation would you suggest?

also i found some changes in the key bindings and a loadout i don't remember making.

I mean whatever happened with your account, you should ask activision support. They can tell you if your account was accessed from a different location. But complaining because you are shadowbanned will not help, because they don't offer support for that.

And on the steam forum you won't get help anyway.

they cant change your email without having access to the current email hence why he'd never lose access, and most of the time if the account is going to be sold they won't change the password so the owner takes longer to notice.

Steam level shows nothing, some people aren't gonna waste money on such a thing. The account is a year old and all other details are private (they're like that by default now iirc). Stop pretending a steam profile actually shows anything, I've seen cheaters with level 100+ accounts and many many normal players with level 0/1 accounts.
