Hit Reg Issues Possible Fix

I may have a fix for some who may of been in my situation. My location is in the deep south so this may not help for you. At the beginning of warzone i was slaying out getting a lot of kills in warzone then suddenly sbmm hit. When sbmm started hit reg was bad and felt like I was putting full clips into people. Very frustrating and I have 1gbup and down of internet with the best package you can have. After digging around a lot of people say I was dying by something called lag compensation. I experimented with so many methods. Today I had a theory that cod only caters to people with WiFi internet in my lobbies or lower bufferbloat scores. I grabbed the tp link wifi adapter off of my other gaming computer and it maked my interned slightly slower which some how put me on the same even playing field with everyon else. Could be my ethernet adapter who knows! No more bad reg! And only die to people that way more skilled. My K.d only hovers around 1.1 as I play only for fun.

I tested this method in other games. (Tarkov, Apex, and Finals) This method did not work for these games. For me to play those games I stick with my 1gbup and 1gb down with A grade Bufferbloat. In theory, your connection may be to fast to play this game when sbmm kick in or even eomm if it exist. Thanks for the help you guys put on the forums Im having more fun now playing.

Yes, it's due to the way CoD does its lag compensation. Normal games will compensate for the higher ping players but still works against them, lower ping is at an advantage.

CoD's lag compensation however adds artificial latency to every player based on their latency vs the highest latency in the lobby. You have 20ms, highest in lobby has a 150ms, you get 130ms artificial lag on your hitreg. When you watch the killcam after emptying half a mag and the killcam shows you shooting 3 bullets and dying, that's why.

A stable higher ping connection will give you the advantage in CoD.

Back in the BO2 days (this is when they started using the lag comp we have now), you could cap/throttle your upload speed during the startup bandwidth test and get a lag comp advantage.

and thats exactly why this is my LAST cod...
im sick and tired of sbmm with lag compensation...
i play on pc 250fps and suffer 1second delay in every encounter while i have no such problems in mw2 nor mw2019. on ps5 i dont suffer from delay in mw3

this game has nothing to do with skillz

Hell yes, just go and buy an older cod. Still alive and you’ll have fun cause your skill will translate right into the game.
No reason to not play the older games, ain’t nothing wrong with playing a 10 year old game, especially if it’s better than the newer release.

All these posts on here confuse me, we know they have the system against the players, go back to the old games if you want to play good COD. Let the sheep play the new garbage.

That lag compensation could explain how I emptied a full clip into the back of someone's head only for them to turn around and kill me. This was in Lockdown before MW3 came out.

Not true, if it’s a legit vpn.
I sometimes jump on and forget to turn off my VPN and well have never had an issue.
Just set COD as a exception pass through and all is good.
