Will using a custom crosshair overlay program like Crosshair X be false detected as a cheat?

why would you in the first place? there is an option in the settings to have the 'center dot' always visible, thats exactly what your looking for

I dunno bout that but back in my day in CounterStrike we just put a piece of scotch tape on the monitor and drew a dot on it with a marker lol

i did something similar in OG mw2/black ops. played on a glass screen tv back then and just used a dry erase marker right on the tv and wiped it off when i was done haha
