Has anyone else been falsely banned?

I have never cheated in a video game in my life. I've played on Xbox my whole life and built a PC for once in my life and got the Steam version. Didn't play a SINGLE game. Downloaded last night, woke up with ban.

Did you use unlock tools or get a ban in an earlier COD? Warzone? Doesn't matter what platform, it will carry over to Steam. They take your money first though.

Also you say you built a PC for once and have played XBOX your whole life, but your Steam account is 8 years old?

MSI Laptop for 7 years,

I checked the CoD website, 1 hour of Warzone, 4 hours of MW1, none on MW2.

I have never cheated or used hacks on any title on Steam or Xbox

i use to play xbox only but made my steam account like 11 years ago just to make one lol and only really been using steam for last 2 years..

Well you can be banned for a lot of things some people don't consider "cheating". They perma banned over 500,000 accounts for toxicity, and using software like DS4 or AHK with macros/scripts will also get you banned.

Bans are tied to your Activision account, so it doesn't matter what platform you play on, they will transfer over to this and all future titles.

I have played less than 5 hours of CoD for the last 5 years.....Never received a ban until I downloaded it and tried to launch it via Steam. This isn't a new issue. It is happening to many people.

If you got banned from this without even playing a game, it absolutely carried over from your Activision account.

I was never banned on any Activision account ever. This is solely because I purchased the Steam version, and likely because their invasive Ricochet software can't recognize the difference between someone using Visual Studio to code and develop applications or games, and someone trying to hack. This is nothing new. This has been happening falsely to players for years.

Take it from someone with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of bans, he is lyin. Odds of a false ban are going to be next to zero. Albeit, there was one time on Warzone 2 where I got someone using a mass reporting tool that got me a TEMP ban.

You are not fit or capable of having a competent conversation. The point of the thread was to identify if any other Steam user encountered a false ban, and if so, what courses of action they took to resolve it.

If you're going to hide behind the wall of logical superiority, you need to either logically convince yourself of two things in order for your presumption about whether or not I cheated to be true:

1: That no anti-cheat system in fallible, and they work correctly 100% of the time and never produce false bans

2: That a person, who was never banned on console, never banned on any CoD related account, ever, can be banned for 'cheating' after never playing the game they allegedly cheated in.

Considering you can't satisfy either of these logical points, you, in your supreme 1+1 logic, can't assert that the ban was false.

If you're general assumption that every post you read is from someone who is a liar, or someone who deserves whatever action befell them, then you again, are not supposed to be on the internet. If you can't move past your own preconceived notions, you are a danger to yourself and others, cause you post misinformation and falsely accuse others of doing things they have not done.

False bans get removed after some time automatically, nothing you can do or say will remove it otherwise.

Yeah that visual studio thing IS bs using it myself and guess what im not banned. Almost every programm you read anywhere that causes ab ban is just false

That bosshog dude only posts in threads about cheaters and bans, and all he does is praise ricochet.

When AMD put out the "anti lag" driver update a few weeks ago, and a bunch of people got banned, all he did was praise ricochet and insult people who got banned for no reason. (Are you using that driver by any chance?)

When banwaves are needed, and cheaters are everywhere, he just claims everyones shadowbanned, and praises ricochet.

Intresting gamer factoid a cybersecurity firm called irdeto did a survey on over 9000 gamers and found that over %40 of gamers have used 3rd party cheating software to cheat in online multi-player games. When just about every other gamer cheats odds are you are lying.
