Profile signed out error
As per the title, I have been getting this error randomly and it’s very annoying. Does anyone have a fix or is there a planned fix?

I have a 1 Gbit connection on ethernet and have no connection issues in any other online games, only the steam version of MW3 2023.

I have tried clearing download cache, changing voice channels, reinstalling & verifying files but I still get this error.

I requested a refund in the hopes of getting the Bnet version since I didnt have any problems on mw2 but was denied.

i also get alot of profile signed out, but i havent found a fix. i did notice that when i get the error i see that i also have no connection to steam which comes back after like just 20-30 sec. so i guess its the steam servers connection that just flops sometimes.

This seems to be a Steam-related issue. When Steam's connection blips or goes down, so do MW2 and 3.

Many thanks for the detailed response as well as others. Its disappointing to see this happen on a platform like steam. Hopefully they will do a fix at some point, paying £59.99 to get randomly kicked out of a zombies game or mp is annoying.

Hello, I thought I would post an update as I have been doing some testing for the past 2 days and so far the results have been promising. I have logged 4+hours each night playing a mix of Multi & Zombies and have had 0 profile signed out errors so maybe it can help yourselves and others who stumble upon this (I may have also just been lucky or steam fixed the issue)

Using a mix of some suggestions online I did the following;
Start MW3 on Steam, open task manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC), Details (win11), End Process on Cod22-cod.exe, Set the following to high priority = Cod.exe & SteamWebHelper.exe.

I also changed my voice channel to Friends only but this apparently isnt a confirmed fix but yeah the above is what I did and so far no issues, if there's any further profile signed out errors when using the above I will post here. If they have fixed the issues themselves then ignore what I did and enjoy! hopefully the above is a help for anyone needing it.

Tbh thats activisions fault. Activision is not capable to hold the connection even when you basicly logged in via your activision account. Most games dont care with external accounts that steam is down.

Tbh 1 gbit doesnt mean you cant lose connection at all... And if you get the profile signed out error at a specific day every week its the weekly maintanence from steam

It's an issue with steam, when this happens, steam shows as disconnected.

Trying to increase the priority on Cod.exe gives me "Unable to change priority. The operation could not be completed. Access is denied." and I also ran steam as admin. Any idea?

Yeah I'm aware that it doesn't fully cover from random disconnects here and there but I just find it strange how it can all of a sudden be such a big issue especially going from 200mbps to the 1Gbit. The error is completely random, I played a few days ago uninterrupted for about 5 hours then tonight I logged in (8pm UK) and have had 2 disconnects in 4 hours.
I had it kick friends off the Valheim world we are running 2 nights ago which was the first time that has happened although I noticed the No Connection at the bottom of the screen. I'm gonna assume it is still just a steam issue and hope a resolution is found soon....or battlenet sells it for a reasonable DLC price :D

So It hasn't fixed the issue as per my response above, It could be an Account Control setting you need to change to allow you to change priority. Hope this helps.:praisesun:
