COR-45 conversion kit is broken

The conversion kit fort he COR-45 is a carbine conversion kit. I expected it to be fully automatic as it says it is a carbine and the fire rate is dramatically increased, but it's semi, in a weird way.
It fires on trigger press, and then once more on trigger release. You can click really fast and it fires like an SMG. But the damage is extremely low. I'm pretty sure this isn't intentional.
This is on mouse, though, I have no idea if it's any different for controller players.

I've not tried it yet but the way it fires is called a Duplex trigger
