it can't be fixed as those are shader cache files and they will always fail to validate

Same thing here, they said to contact support 2 days ago when the issues started and they acknowledged that they released corrupted files and would be attempting to fix it, but nothing has effing been done and I can't play the game either. The update 2 days ago literally made the game crash my computer and corrupt my windows to the point where I had to get a whole new windows install and remove the old drive. I'm on a fresh steam download, fresh game download, and this ♥♥♥♥ still doesn't work. Requesting refund.

Did you verify file integrity? Best I can think of.

Orrrr you could refund the game, always an option.

Been having this issue since mw2. It’s bricked on some pc’s. Maybe Ryzen cpu’s? It launches on my intel desktop but not my ryzen laptop

i had an intel before and it had happened.
im still getting this error myself. i scan it.
finds bad files.
removes settings and have to log back into activision.
hasnt stopped since i got the game.

I've been having this problem since the day of release, I can't run the game because of missing files. I do not want to be refunded, I just want to play the game. I read all of your comments and it seems like there is no solution to this problem. If anyone has a solution for the problem just post it.

Here is how to fix it guys, just go to your Library, Select COD, right click, properties, files, verify files integraty, it will check your game file and repair...

Only fix I have been able to do is to validate files. This works for me and allows me to play for about a day then I have to do it again. Also make sure your you are not set to full screen exclusive, if you are change it to fulls teen borderless.
