How to tell if a Call of Duty player is cheating.
So you think you have only seen 3 cheaters since you started? Wrong, you've seen 3 nubs that didn't know what they were doing. This is the MOST COMMON misconception about cheaters, that they do 180 head shots from across the map and are “obvious.” If someone has been cheating for a while, you simply cannot tell from a kill cam.

Keep in mind that good cheaters will be able to hide their cheats, even if you were to look at their whole game play. Bad cheaters on the other hand will be reckless and more likely to be toxic, trying to dominate other players ect, they are the ones that are obvious. So here is how you spot hackers:
ESP / VAC Wallhacks: Bad wall hackers will track enemies or look at enemies through walls, pre-fire corners if they know you are about to push around a corner and generally their skill wont measure up to their awareness of enemy position.

Aimbot Users: Bad software will shoot you through walls, bad users will aim instantly, switching instantly between targets in the killcam. Users that know what they are doing will enable aim smoothing and trigger delays, in that case it’s incredibly hard to tell if someone is hacking. The aim will be a bit too smooth and the wont overshoot the target when taking aim.

Macros / Modded Controllers: Perfect drop shots, incredible fire rate on semi-automatic weapons. Very hard to detect,. Instant dolphin dives for avoiding damage, reduced/absent recoil ect.

Just because someone is better at the game, that does not mean that they are a hacker. On the other hand, just because someone is not 50-1, doing 180 head shots doesn't mean they aren't.

One more example of an undetectable hack is a trigger bot. Unlike an aim bot, it has zero control over where the cross hairs go, it simply fires when you are over a target, there will never bee unnatural movement because the movement is completely controlled by the user. There is no way to tell from a video the difference between a user hitting the fire button and software hitting the fire button. The user can override the bot and fire whenever they please, so it isn’t like they will have 100% accuracy as a tell.

How to identify cheaters:
They're using a Controller.

Joking aside, Aim Assist is just as bad, especially with how strong it is. The game should never move a players aim for them, ever. Aim Assist also helps to cover up people using other methods of cheating, making them harder to identify.

That is pretty much what cheats are classed as. Software that alters the behaviour of the game to create an artificial advantage. Aim Assist is an artificial advantage, and how it's currently tuned is ridiculous. The rotational Aim tracking needs to be removed. Aim Assist should only aid your own aim and not move and track targets for you.

It should be renamed Aim Tracking and not Aim Assist. It used to be Aim Assist when all it did was slow down your own aim when near targets but now with the strong, instantaneous rotational tracking it's completely busted.

Cheaters are a big problem and everything you said was spot on but at least PC hacks get detected and banned and most of the time they don't know how to hide them well. There's nothing being done to combat all the controller hardware cheaters using Cronus, Xim, Titans etc. then not to mention the Devs allowing Aim Assist to get really out of hand.

Honestly, Aim Assist coupled with controller hardware, like cronus is pretty much an aim bot. Especially if they also have a mouse plugged in. So not only are they using a mouse, they get controller Aim Assist and scripts to mitigate all recoil etc.

Lots of players have been doing this for years with absolutely no action taken against them. Hundreds of thousands of controller cheaters going completely unchecked for years.

So, what can you do? Most people would rather just join them and have done already. COD has a massive issue that they don't seem to want to address properly, just keep increasing Aim Assist until it's as good as the cheats I guess and then everything will be even. Cheaters vs cheaters.

I would rather never play against controllers again purely due to how easy it is to cheat using them as well as legitimate players having access to Aim Assist which I feel is as bad as unofficial means of cheating at this point.

I've completely lost all interest in every aspect of CODs PVP due to all these issues and haven't really played it since 2019 multiplayer. The cranked up SBMM just makes it worse. As a good player, getting partied up with other "good" players just exponentially increases the odds of those players being cheaters.

So screw COD and screw all the cheaters and the Devs and Activision for allowing the game to get to this point.

that really depends on the cheaters, some are blatant normally have a low account they don't care about if it gets banned also called rage cheaters.

most are not obvious, ie don't use a snap aim or blatant look at you thorough walls type tactics.

most cheat software has options to use a % of shot to specific part of body,ie head/chest.
as for the use of wall hacks, that depends on how good they are at hiding it, and not making it super obvious that they are cheating.

you can simply look this ♥♥♥♥ up online if you want meany people even have videos that im not linking to that talk openly about this ♥♥♥♥, imho if you use any cheats you are just scum.
