CANT JOIN FRIENDS PARTY

I cant join any parties at all, some friends can join mine, and some cant. all privacy group settings are open. dont waste your money on this game until it is fixed.

happening to me too. i tried my friends steam account on my PC and it worked fine. just requested a refund.

no luck. i think my friends and i narrowed it down to steam being the factor.

I would like to add that I agree, only way we found was to have everyone else join my party, bad solution but until it gets fixed, uhhhh yeah.

no not yet. looks like people are still having the issue. i just refunded the game and they approved it. if it gets fixed maybe ill consider buying again. its just embarrasing they have glitches like this.

its something to do with steam accounts.

How i tested:
Did all troubleshooting possible and had issue.
Logged into friends steam and it worked fine (i.e. not a pc issue)
Refunded the game and bought on a different steam account (i have 2.) works fine.
This was with the same activision account and pc only change was different steam login.

If you want to play asap refund and buy on a new steam account. but i know this is a hassle.

I just finished a video explaining what the issue is and how to work around it. There is no "Fix" you can do on your end, however there is a work around that will let you and your friends play together.

This is not steam exclusive, players on battle.net and xbox are having the same issues.

I was having the same problem since the game came out. I fixed it by importing the legacy settings from MW2 in the Account and Network category in settings.
