Joining Friends party (can't join)

Hi,

So I am having issues joining my friends party (all friends)
They can join me and we can find matches.
Settings:
Everything is set to open.
I am not sure what else to try.

Happy to show any screen shots if needs be but this is a clear bug hopefully others had this issue to and knows how to fix.

My friends tried this and it says they were unable to find any settings to import..

having the same issue They can invite me I can try to join never works I can only invite them or they join on me nothing has fixed the issue and its super annoying

ok so the fix that's working for me is going to account and network and importing legacy settings from mw2

Open up documents and delete the "call Of Duty" folder itself, make sure its gone from recycling bin aswell. when you reopen the game it'll do all the preset stuff, merge the settings from mw2 when asked, (still works even if you havent played it yet) , then it should work fine.

LOL, yeah but if you have this issue on console (which people sometimes do), you can't do anything to fix it. So be grateful that you're on a platform that's open

yeah got the game, didnt realize i couldnt join on people until 2 weeks in because friends i was with at the time i was always the leader. same problem for my other friend and brother who just got it

I had this issue. I had to uninstall MW3 and delete all cod files. Uninstall steam and reinstall both steam and MW3. Hope this helps out!

Yeah i also have the same issue it's very confusing. Everybody needs to join me especially people on console. I also experienced that when some one or maybe you is not in a legit lobby. You will not be able to join one another. Until you are in a MWZ lobby. But visa versa no one can join me while i am chilling in my lobby.
