Suggestions for better Image quality.
Im playing the game on 1920*1080 and "extreme" preset and no matter what kind of antialiasing (DLSS, DLAA etc...) i use the graphics either seem too blurry or have that fake "oversharpness" effect to seem. Looks ugly in my oppinion.

I would be open for suggestions from you guys how to make the game actually look nice.

Well, it's at least better than the beta but... yeah. I wish they'd let you download all the textures at once instead of streaming from the server while playing, maybe that would have helped.

You can try turning on the DLSS sharpness up or turning on image scaling in the nVidia control panel and setting the sharpness to your liking (I have it at 20 to add sharpness but not introduce too much white edging).

I think I figured it out. It seems that DLSS/DLAA doesn't work well with some post-processing effects, specifically film grain.

If you notice at the main mode select screen if you turn on DLAA it will cause all sorts of visual artifacts in the background where there is a lot of film grain but the character in the foreground where there is no film grain will look considerably sharper and the shadows more stable with DLAA.

While you can't turn off film grain in the main menu, in game the game looks a lot better with DLAA and film grain completely turned off.

Screen space reflections makes the image grainy for some reason.

Yeah, they improved it since the beta but it's still very grainy and low res.

I turned down film grain and completely disabled any type of scaling effect. no DLSS and no dlaa. game looks way better now.

I meant, that turning film grain off and DLAA on improves the image but I'll give it a try without any film grain or image reconstruction just native res in a bit.

SMAA Filmic got rid of it in mw2 but they decided to get rid of that, cuz they're smart

my graphics are just the other side of the coin, my are EXTREMELY sharp, like, my poor eyes are suffering with such sharpeness.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I just realized that variable shaders was set to on by default. You definitely don't want this setting on unless you are absolutely desperate for a few extra frames at the expanse to a big hit to image quality especially on stuff like material shaders on your weapon and reflections.

on PS5 the game looks better, the antialiasing on PC is pretty lame but it's better than FSR or DLSS, the only way to make it look good is going or 4K or using DLAA which you would need a 4070 at least to make it playable at 120fps

I use FidelityFX CAS and my game looks crisp.
With FSR/DLSS/DLAA etc it looks incredibly blurry.
I set the FCAS sharpening to around 60-70% and it's perfect

You have to go into the additional DLAA/DLSS setting and set the sharpness, which I think should be 80 by default. I actually turned it down to 50 because it was a little much. Especially since I have image scaling on in the control panel.

Also, turn Anisitropic Filtering to X16 and Negative LOD to Allow instead of clamp with DLSS/DLAA. Nvidia's AF is almost always better than the games' and a clamped Negative LOD bias will look blurry with image reconstruction.

It looks great in game, it only looks terrible in the mode selection screen.

I just used the Geforce Experience "optimize" settings. Despite using the exact same settings i used before (except swithcing vsync off) the game actually looks very nice now. Dont know whats going on there... Thanks for all the responses.
