how the heck did it cost like 1 billion dollars to make mw3?
MW2 2022 only cost $250k and had a complete curated single player, mw3 is said to be about 1 billion and has a single player thats mostly padded and reusing maps. they did less then mw2 yet it cost like 3 times as much for significantly less? uhhh inflation isnt THAT crazy

But its A-OK for Rockstar to make a GTA for 1 billion + $$$$

has nothing to do with inflation and everything to do with hiring shills on the forums to promote the game.

hence why we have dozens upon dozens of posts from new steam profiles talking about how great mw3 will be.

they're hired drones promoting the game.

they did this for MW2 but not to this extent, most of the fake profiles were deleted by the end of s01.

the game experience of gta5 is magnitudes better then mw3, and it still doesnt make mw3 make any more sense.

What nonsense. AAA games spend more money on marketing than they do on development, and its been that way for decades already. And by marketing I mean TV ads, Billboards, product tie-ins. Not paying some doofus to setup a steam account (that costs nothing) and make a post saying what a great game it is.

How much are you being paid for your opinion?

Yeah.

Yeah.
i've personally gotten three shills already banned from this very forum, steam is literally fighting with them as we speak my guy.

they put up ads to hire people as steam shills every time they marketed the game, they did so for mw2 and they did so for mw3.

along with the job you have to sign an NDA to not tell people you are a shill, for obvious reasons, (because shilling is actually against the law and can earn you and your boss a hefty fine,)

they're paying per post, not by hour.

ps this isn't a triple A game.

dunno who told you that but just because it's activision doesn't mean it's triple A.

just for clarity: those people making posts about how great MW3 will be when it hasn't even dropped yet are not farming clowns, they're paid to make those posts.

like how the f do they think they are going to recoup 1 billion dollars i na reasonable amount of time? company want to get the money they spent on the budget back asap.

gta5 cost 256m and make 8B in 10 years

mw1 cost 250m and make like 1B after like 4-5 years

mw2 cost 250m and made less then mw1

how is mw3 costing 1 billion going to make 1 billion any time soon if at all? thats uncharacteristic and idk how they think they are going to profit faster then mw1 or 2

What about the people who flock here to make negative posts? That don't even own the game? Are they being paid too? Or is it only the opinions you don't agree with that are paid actors?

Clown world.

people own the game on battlenet and come here to rant because there is no forums on battlenet.

any other reasons you're trying to debunk a known marketing scam that steam themselves are aware of?

even if they were fake accounts that never played the game before, there's a massive difference between a marketing scam and people leaving bad reviews of the game.

btw, the game deserves bad reviews lmao it's bad.

it was, and it's still the 3rd highest grossing gaming franchise of all time (behind Mario and Pokemone).

But apparently its not an AAA title.....
