I've played the mission over 20 times and I don't get an option to use the snake cam and the bomb always blows up. Have I missed a pickup earlier on the mission or is it an automatic action? Pulling my hair out as I don't know what it is I'm missing.

Are you interacting with the side opposite of Soap splitting off to the right of him

Yes, no cue marker comes up on the bomb like I've seen in the youtube videos.

I just played for the first time and no problem.
had 7 crashes in total while playing the campaing tho.

No problems for me either, bend down and move around bomb "F" should show up.
Finished the game, not one crash, Win 10 - RTX 4090.
