wait 6 days like the big shiny advert tells you
So much horrible cheating AI and scripted nonsense in between extremely long and pointless "open combat" missions which are just warzone sections where it's you alone against an entire army. None of it makes sense.
Also they made a cringe replacement for the no russian mission, where you still get a game over if you shoot a civilian even though literally everyone dies anyway.
It's another sterile soulless corporate product.
But to have to eat up over 200GB of space for a 4-hour game is not worth the time or trouble. Also I don't like how they have basically pushed the single-player campaign, "to the back room of the Casino". I know historically its the multiplayer that has made Activision the most money, so they don't focus on the campaigns as much.
I also threw my hands up after completing last year's MW2 campaign. The baffling crafting elements, which I didn't need to use at all unless mandatory. The excessively long sniper-puzzle missions. MW2's campaign Felt more like Vanguard, which was also a terrible campaign.
Now if they had the campaign as a separate product, and didn't take up 200GB, I might buy it at a lower price point, around $30-$40.
After CoD:Infinity Wars the campaign's for COD all took a decline in quality except for Black Ops:Cold War.
I'll just go back and cycle thru the older CoD campaigns, which were a lot more solidly designed.
Maybe I'll buy again if they do another Black Ops campaign, but will wait for the reviews first before purchasing.
In the US, 200 gig download in a home with several people using wifi is pretty insane. Fast service in our country is already expensive. Add to the fact that there are very strict data caps. You're not only paying 70 dollars for a what many consider a bad game, you have to watch the rest of the month's data usage. 200 gig is almost TWICE THE SIZE OF RDR 2. WTF? For a 3 hour campaign?! GET THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF HERE!
I will probably end up buying MW3 anyway since i'm a COD fan but i'll just have to keep my expectations not very high for the game.
Story-wise? Let's just say Sledgehammer forgot how to tell a complete story after 12 years.
It wasn't Sledgehammer. It was Infinity Ward.
