MW3 Campaign Criticism (Some Spoilers)

So to start out, visuals are fine, the introduction of Makarov was odd, but also fine, nothing exceptionally wrong about it.
(Personally prefer the OG MW2 Prisoner 627 Mission)

The "Open Combat" missions are awful though, I have never felt less immersed in a Call Of Duty campaign, it's a terrible attempt at implementing the Warzone-esque feel into the campaign and it just takes away from it altogether.
I would've rather had a long ass cutscene rather than those missions.

The campaign for the most part had no memorable or exciting moments, it felt like a handful of quickly written and executed ideas and had nobody to give a second opinion on them.

The sudden death of Soap was shocking but the game just ENDING- just credits- nothing- zip, zam, done. (There is a cut scene that follows and is kinda sad but fails to deliver)
Way to ruin the damn moment, I felt more emotion watching the Halo TV show than that sorry excuse of eliminating a major character in the ten seconds I had in order to absorb what just happened before the credits started rolling.
(Sorry for that run on sentence, genuinely drinking the stupid juice and can't figure out how to fix it.)

I liked the story boarding of how we captured Makarov, that mission was neat- Short, but neat.
I also liked the sequence of exploding the ice below the convoy, that was pretty cinematic and interesting but the fact that the prisoner we capture ends up being General Shepherd was just so out of the blue.

That brings me to another point, the whole campaign just constantly slaps you left and right with moments that should be explained or hinted towards in some form or fashion but instead it's just "SURPRISE, here's this plot point and you gotta roll with it and no we are not going to pursue it after this mission, have fun!"

Overall, in comparison to the MW and MW2 reboots, this is the worse campaign yet and if you are waiting for any reviews before you buy it, just save your money and wait for the full release in a week.
I sincerely hope my money was well spent and the multiplayer or zombies is enjoyable because this was disappointing to look back on.
