It is literally a DLC

I have purchased mw3 and it is clear that it is just a dlc. You cannot find it in your steam library. I once thought something wrong happened because I couldnt be able to find the game in my library then my friend said it is in COD HQ's DLC section. I checked and well, IT IS a dlc.

It's a new game. The only difference this time is that they are using the same engine (all COD's will be from now on) and progress carries over (operators and weapons from MW2).

Apparently stuff carrying over is a problem for some people?

Personally I've been waiting years for them to do it.

I've been sending them emails since the early years to take a page from MMO games and just release new expansions.. this way we can keep all the old maps, all the skins, unlocks, progress and get new updates.

old school WaW, blops1, blops2, all just lay dormant because they move on to another game.. i'd love to play those with as many people that will be playing mw3 (2023)..
They're making a great move fwd, just need to keep moving into a single client and just name their expansions.

You do know that "DLC" just means "Downloadable Content" right? They are consolidating the games onto CallOfDutyHQ so of course it's going to "download" all of the "content" from the game.

People need to stop associating the acronym for something that only means "Skyrim Horse Armor" as if you didn't pay $70 for a full game with its own game modes and campaign. Your complaints would actually make sense if they were trying to charge you for a skin bundle, but you are getting a fully reworked/remastered game and all of it's optional game modes as well.

seriously call of dutyR is the launcher for both modern warfare 2 and 3 (when it comes out) not a dlc
