after looking through the discussions alot of the people here must eat paint chips, getting dumber by the day.
must have trouble navigating netflix also since its literally just the same menu system. top is news, next row down is everything mw3, next is everything mw2, then warzone. ya REAL hard to navigate.
So they can "add" rather than complete create new
If you pay attion to your DLC list if you own MW3 and 2 in order to have EVERYTHING you only need MW3 not 2 installed now
Case in point - the COD HQ means they can just add new service and content to a single page to facilitate all this.
Bnet works EXACTLY the same.
That's the core "system" that you launch MW 2, Warzone, and now MW 3 from.
It's becoming a bloat, as each game usually requires you to restart for updates to be applied.
So what ends up happening is you start the game, and it goes "NEW NVIDIA DRIVER PLS RESPOND" and you update your driver, then you get into the Launcher, and it has to restart to apply ITS update. So you restart the game, click on MW3, and it goes "Ok we have to shut down to open the game" so it does, then it goes "We have to restart to patch the game." so it relaunches the HQ.
Then you can finall- oh wait, it has to shut down to launch MW3 again, NOW it's updated and playable.
This cycle takes like 10 minutes of time when just launching each game individually would be SO MUCH BETTER, but they did it this way so that regardless of whatever cod you play, it all shows up under one banner when it comes to things like steam charts or steamDB. So warzone, Core MP for MW2, Co-op, Zombies, ect all have a "shared" player count, making the game look more popular.
It's unnecessary but it's Activision. They never listen to customers. /shrug
Noooo, no it does not. B.net doesn't make you launch an app to close it to patch to launch an app to close it to patch to launch an app so you can launch an app. You just click "patch" and when it's done, you boot the game.
Unless you meant the CoD HQ from B.net , then yeah it's the same heap of crap there
I loaded up MW2 after not playing it for a long time and felt the exact same way.
Feels like the sort of menu you are presented with on a fremium mobile game.
Uninstalled it right away.
