What’s the difference between this mw3

Between the 2011 and the 2023
Is it the same story line or what ? So confusing

It's a reboot/reimagining.

not sure it says modern warfare 3 but it's a remake so they changed everything so in a sense it's not modern warfare 3 at all it's modern warfare 3 remake of course they forgot to add it to the title of the game.

You should not care about "story" in call of duty games. Remember that.

It literally has the same name modern warfare 3 up for prepurchase now as the one released in 2011
both says it’s a direct sequel of the legendary mw2 that’s why I’m confused and opened this thread

Yeah no it's not

MW 2019, MWII and this MWIII are really just a remake. Some characters are the same, some environements and or story elements are the same, but in general this is a whole "new" trilogy.

So yeah you can't play MWIII story without playing the other remakes!
