Upon doing a bit of research in what you just said I would not be surprised considering I have been smashing out some great games lately. Absolute BS if that's the case. ffs . If that really is the case it is absolutely pathetic on Activisions behalf . I was banned in Call Of Duty Ghosts back in the day because I used Fraps to determine my ping as there was no ping counter in steam yet.
My mate no longer plays the game as this was the straw that broke the Camels back. I'm starting to get there as well.
I am in contact with Activision as we speak . They first told me to verify game files . If that didnt work then I was to try these steps . I will keep you updated . Seems to be a router/modem network connection issue .
This is Luisa from Activision Player Support; I hope this email finds you well.
First of all, I want to apologize (infinitely) to you for the delay in responding, these days we have had a big increase in cases, but don't worry, I'm here. According to what you mentioned, I understand that you are concerned about this situation of not being able to play as you would like due to the high ping you present, so in order to continue with the assistance, I would like to recommend the following steps to see if the issue could be solved, could you please try it in detail?:
• Try a different network (this includes: Hotspot, either wireless or tethering-USB).
• Try a wired and a wireless connection (please use a different cable if you are using wired).
• Power cycle: Turn the modem off and on again (at least for 3 minutes).
• Check if no other devices are connected to the network.
• Clean boot.
• Use a Google's public DNS. Go into your computer's network settings. Manually configure DNS settings to the following: Primary 8.8.8.8; Secondary 8.8.4.4 4.
• Try enabling Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) if your router supports it. To do so: go into your router's settings, disable port forwarding, and enable UPnP. Save changes and exit.
• Try port forwarding: Before doing this, you must disable UPnP and enable port forwarding, it is not possible to do both at the same time. For more information about this, you can check this link: https://portforward.com/.
• Please check the NAT status (only if you have access to the game). Send us the NAT Type > can be found on the Account Network information.
• Try with DMZ.
• Check if the issue persists on a different platform.
However, if this doesn't work, please don't worry, send us the following information:
• Region:
• Modem brand/model:
• ISP:
• Current download/upload speed:
• Screenshot (png/jpg) showing that the ports have been opened. To find open ports, you can try the following steps:
o Login to your router.
o Go to the port forwarding section of your router, often also called a virtual server. If you can't find them that way, please search the support of your router make and model for help.
• Is your Steam account correctly linked to your Activision account?:
• Which modes are the affected ones?:
• Are you on a public network such as a school or military base?:
We look forward to hearing from you soon. Don't worry, we'll continue with this, rest assured.
Many thanks in advance, truly!
Still happens. Pretty sure it's not isolated to individuals builds or networks. There are way too many people I see in the same lobbies having the same issue at the same time.
Hi Sharpshooter .
Ok I will tell you what fixed it for me . I know what caused it . I own a ssd and you should never defrag them . I did just that . Anyway to fix the problem I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the game . I dont know if this will work for you or anyone else but hey . Just thought I better add it here ... Cheers . Good luck .
My question to you guys in the following: prior to you getting 999, were you absolutely killing it? And upsetting people?
