I'd love to see where they said this was going to be a 2 year game.
And since we are at it, we should boycott Firaxis and Microprose, because they focus on new XCOM games, but my XCom Ufo defence got no new content in almost 20 years.
This is a business. And as you may eventually realise, businesses operate on "cost to profit" mentality. As much as I liked MW3 as a kid, i realise that it would be moronic to expect activision to put in workhours into improving anti-cheat for it, since it won't bring them any more revenue, or negligible amount. Why on earth would they do that then? (Thats also a reason I don't buy older cods - you can only reasonably get them now for SP Campaign, but acti doesn't discount them by more than 50%, ever).
Regarding the modification, i don't know what those dummies thought would happen. If I had to choose between another half-assed CoD release and mix of all best Cod elements, which advertises itself as such, I would pick the latter, no second thoughts. Meaning Activision wouldn't get money from their new release, so it was obvious they would take action. Especially since mod used CoD name, and assets from the game, which was Intellectual Property lawsuit goldmine.
Sorry OP, but how could you expect, or even wish for anything else? It would be reasonable if you were 12, but since you seem to have played the older cods, you should've known better
-Sincerely, Activision team.
I'm already not buying anymore Call of Duty games
Just not for any of the stuff you've listed here.
I wanted to scratch the online pvp itch - when in reality I am met with a cheater filled cesspit which becomes a tedious slog to play.
DMZ - Trash
WZ2 - Trash
Multiplayer - Cheater filled cesspit.
Where is the enjoyment? It's obviously set up as a way to farm people's money and not to provide value to the playerbase of any kind.
One thing I am jealous of - with the new EULA, North America could have refunded their game and purchases. They didn't offer that to me, I was a bit disappointed as I'd rather have a refund.
I've got it, so I play here and there and sometimes it's not bad. Right now it's bad, it's a cheater filled cesspit again - but if they offered me a refund of my purchases right now, I'd take that in a heartbeat.
