Something wrong with latency checker?

I play on Xbox (old school cod habit) using wired connection & my ping is suspiciously low to the point I think the latency tracker might be bugged. My ping fluctuates between 1 & 3. Mostly settles in the middle at 2 though. That doesn’t seem realistic, my ping on Speedtest is 1 mostly and sometimes 2 but I’m aware when playing games that is not going to be the case and my csgo ping tends to be around 20-40 depending on server region. My ping has been this low on cod for about a month now & I’m starting to think it’s bugged

Can't say I am having any issues with hit reg or anything server related. But then again I stopped playing cod so seriously back from cod ghosts so I probably wouldn't notice slight things like that

same here mine is usually between 70&90 but since the start of this season the game says i'm playing on 3ms ping which is obviously wrong

Just another attempt to try and fool the consumer. The latency is nowhere close to accurate.

My regular speed test always has a ping or 1 or 2. But yeah in game I know that's pretty much impossible lol. Lowest I ever got is 5 in csgo one time

Your Ping test is to your ISP and should be that low.
I have a ping of 1-2 to my ISP when testing speed.
My ping in game is as low as 18-19, but most of the time between 20-39, depending on the time of the day, weekend and game mode. Very rare it is above 50.

But, I see players in game with ping below 10 in some games. When you press TAB in a game, you can see the real ping to every player. Last evening one had a ping at 4.
That one are very close to the server, in the same City...

scoreboard ping appears to be almost correct but averaged.
If you have the stats screen on your HUD active, I have no idea what latency it's measuring but it sure isn't the server.

I have noticed that 1-2ms turn into 10-15 during some game hitches though, so perhaps it's the internal ping between local host and local client for the game's engine?

I don't know, I'm not the developers.

Scoreboard ping, is as you say average, but it is the only one that show your ping to server.

They mixed up the one you can set on top of the screen, from server ping, with ping to isp.
All the other info, like gpu, cpu and so on, are collected internal from your computer.
In S03 update, the failed and change this from server Ping to Isp ping.
Yeah, there is a lot of server hiccups, with sky high ping for some sec, with lagging, freezing and slowmotion in game. Some games are uplayable when this happen.
