Got Banned For No Reason?

So i was just gaming yesterday on a discord call and played like a round of plunder and that's it, then i hopped off to eat and didn't open it for the rest of the night and suddenly got this ban notification when i opened up steam, any idea what caused it? did i piss off a streamer on accident or something? literally haven't ever had this happen in the years playing cod on xbox and the long while before swapping over to PC. Any help is appreciated and if you had a similar thing happen lmk

thanks for the info and i tried to sign in with my steam account to file an appeal but it seems that it just didnt wanna work, gave me an error screen

been playing warzone on pc since before the switch to warzone two, hell i was part of the MWII beta with the early testing and search and destroy/capture the flag mode on the map i believe was removed (with the museum looking thing, bunch of marble and concrete with like a walkway over an objective), its weird that it seems to have decided to ban me so randomly

Maybe a program triggered it. Especially IT people had lots of these issues when Activision introduced their kernel level anti-cheat.

seems fake, you said steam, steam isnt affiliated with COD mwII in terms of banning. they dont use VAC yet you said you got VAC banned

All cods are known to give steam profile game bans. Back in the day all it took was joining the wrong private Lobby. He never said anything about a vac which is only valve anticheat games. He clearly specified it was a game ban which they do indeed do...

"Youve been permanently banned in Call Of DutyTM: Modern WarfareTM II - Open Beta by the game's developers" it was told to me by the "Account Alerts for (my profile)" and dated May 1, 2023

under that it said "You can view your Steam account's In-Game Ban Status and see a list of games affected by a specific ban by visiting you ban history"

"Please see our In-Game Ban Article for more information about how In-Game Bans are applied"

well the only thing ive been running in the back is steam and my other launchers minimized bc i usually download games or such and play spotify while i game to pass the time

i played with a group of 3 randoms in a plunder lobby so maybe one of them got kicked and then since IT MATCHED ME with THEM it mightve decided i had to go to, thats the non sweat reported me theory at least. So much for random matchmaking
