High Ping even in local servers now

I'm just wondering if anyone else has a similar issue.

This issue only started to happen within the last 18 hours. I'm not shadow banned (checked the Activision Ban-Appeal page and it says I'm not under review / no bans detected).

I find servers instantly. In fact, they are servers from my region too. If I queue with friends and we get into a server, they get around 10ms while my ping is still 150ms on our own servers.

Initially I thought it was my internet, so I changed my IP, restarted my router, flushed my DNS cache, none of those worked. I disabled my anti-virus and also reinstalled MWII, yet the issue still persists.

SpeedTest.net also indicates my ping is only 3ms and I also tried playing CS:GO. My ping is only 10 there. So, its certainly not my internet. I have no idea what has caused it.

Another weird thing is, even in a private match (where I am the host) my ping is over 100.

I'm considering just reinstalling Windows since its been awhile anyway

Speed test only measures ping to the Host selected in the webpage, not call of duty. Call your ISP and get your connection checked.

I honestly don't think its a shadow ban. Shadow bans should prevent me from playing with non banned players , at the moment I can play with anyone.

No, you can't ping CoD servers with speed test, whatever ping you have in game is the real measure though.

I am just so confused why every other game is working fine but all of a sudden in COD its stuck at 100ms minimum.

Could be a NAT issue, call your ISP.

It's definitely tied to your account.

That's not how things work, there's no way to make someone have higher ping to a game server. Stop misinforming.

Want to explain how its the same across two different ISPs then? It was 24ms one game, then 109 constantly the next. All without quitting the game.

Nat type is open.

/doubt/ highly that you have 2 ISPs, if you do and you have the same issue, then there is a routing issue in your local network.

Set your networking gear to factory defaults.

Overlay stats showed 24ms, now 130ms.

It's an exact 100ms difference.
