Been banned after just one game
Yesterday I tried for the first time DMZ. This morning I wake up and find out that I was banned. Any way to revert this? I literally just installed the game yesterday and did one or two rounds.

I did none of that. The support board on the Activision site won't let me log in either. What the hell is going on with this game?
I seriously don't know what to do. I read around this happened to a lot of people.
I can't send an appeal with my Steam account, the support page just won't let me log in.

Does anyone have an Email I can contact directly? I can't find one from the support.activision site

How do I email Activision support? To contact us, https://support.activision.com/options , or you can send us an email at privacy@activision.com, or write to us at: Activision Publishing, Inc., 2701 Olympic Boulevard Building B, Santa Monica, CA 90404, ATTN: Privacy Team/Privacy Policy, or call Privacy Team/Privacy Policy, ph. +1 310 255 2000.

In most cases, we will respond via email within 8 hours. However, if we detect unauthorized activity on your account, your request may take up to 3 business days.

And please, don't hate me. it's from Google. I am not from Activision ;)

No, this is the first time I play COD on my steam account. I have a battle.net account where I played the first Warzone and nothing else.
I'm not even sure what I did. I remember that the first time I ran the game it locked up and I had to force close it. After that I lowered the graphics settings and it ran perfectly. Played two rounds and then I closed the game.

And you linked your Activision account to Steam? Did you have any previous bans on Battlenet? or is this a new Activision account?
None of that, No bans whatsoever. I guess it's a new activision account, I just installed the game and it just gave me a "anon" nickname. I didn't set up anything.

Yeah I did that the moment I realized the steam account and the account created from my email were linked. The link from Steam didn't work at all.

I've appealed the ban, I'm not sure how much success it will have, but it's something. This is so weird. I've read online that a ban like this is pretty much forever.

It takes a while to realize that Activision is just an awful company. Hits you right in the wallet, doesn't it?

Activision will always ban the little guy that spends his last $100.00 bucks on their stupid worthless game. Cheaters?, phone numbers?, it's just a bad company to get involved with at the moment.

Notice that Activison had changed their T.O.S. not to long ago against class action lawsuits. So they can steal your money and you can't do anything about it at all.

I would complain to Steam with all my might, because Activision doesn't care about you or your money (well they do care that you spent money that they stole).
Yeah I don't think I will ever buy anything from Activision. I'm scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thankfully I didn't spend a dime on it, I didn't have the time to after just one hour of gameplay

If someone buys alienware products, they should punch their stuff.

And @OP, its possible you habe software on your PC that is used for cheating in other games or can be used for cheating. You dont have to cheat actively to get banned.

Something had triggered the anti-cheat, its not random.

YOUR BAN APPEAL HAS BEEN REVIEWED AND IS FINAL
GAME(S):
Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
DESCRIPTION:
Your appeal has been reviewed and we've confirmed with our security team that your account has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. As you were the account holder at the time of infraction, your ban will not be overturned.

To preserve the integrity of our security systems and detection methods, this is the only information our policy allows us to share regarding your case. This decision is final and your case is now closed. In case you are currently playing any other Activision titles and for future reference, please avoid any of these types of violations to keep your account in good standing.

I just have no words. I have done nothing.

Is Autohotkey or OpenVPN used for cheating? I use those for my work.

Autohotkey is a bingo.
There are several anti-cheat softwares that consider autohotkey as a cheating tool.
Because it can used to. Hope you can apeal and throw AHK from your system.
Good luck.

I know AHK is used for normal stuff. I once needed it in MGSV to fix a bug were my mouse cursor always showed up, but its often abused for cheating.

but how could I have known? There are no available lists authorized software. The game could've just closed and told me there was unauthorized software.
I used AHK for work only.

This is seriously wrong.

Yes, I agree that they should give out a list with "common" software that can trigger their anti-cheat. Said the same at realease, even if I never had it happen to me.
I also think in such cases the game should warn you and close itself.
People got banned for stuff like reshade or cheat-engines for singleplayer games etc.
Because it will trigger if such software is only installed on your system.
Its harsh and if you say the truth and never cheated or tried to, I hope you get your account back.

AHK is really a sneaky one because you can also use most mouse or keyboard software for macros and those are not detected as cheating software. Sorry for you, maybe do some research what software can be conisdered as such.

AHK was used for aimbots in overwatch for example and can lead to bans in WoW too. This is not CoD-specific. Also happened with people in valorant.

If you mod games there are some mods or injectors triggering anti-cheat aswell, so if you someone that does a lot modding with games you should also be careful with those.
