It could last from 3 to 7 days, there is nothing you could do to speedup, just wait and check the activition ban appeal webpage to see if you status is clear (or permanent ban if you were cheating)

From 1 day to 14 days.
https://support.activision.com/ban-appeal here you can check when its over, as long as it says "under review" you´re shadowbanned. and be aware this won´t be your last one.

Been shadowbanned over 30 times and the ban lifts within 3~7 days, no more than that unless you play while shadowbanned.

I have been SB 5 times, and each time i continue to play, used that time for unlocked some camos, medals or something like that, the time 3 to 7 days keeps the same. Is up to Activition to take the time to review the gameplay and (not so sure) check the programs running on background interacting with the game at the time of SB.

The SB system is all automated. Nobody reviews anything. It´s just made like this to compansate the fact that their anti-cheat does nothing than spy everyones data. Even if you Ragehack like crazy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh2ckgW987A you gonne end up shadowbanned and lifted again. Ricochet was just marketing.

There is no set time period. Could be a day or up to a full week. I think mine lasted like 3-4 days. I could probably find the exact time if i look through my history, but it wouldn't matter since others have been had varying days to wait.

The last time i was sb i think there were so many not cheaters players on shadowban, that the lobbies were like normal ones. No cheaters at all. Of course sometimes appear those with everything you just said, but less frequent

My question is how did he get around the censor filter...? I can't even say the word boobs without it being text chat censored. LOL

You can continue to play in SB lobbies, thing is, people can still report you and you can actually get disconnected from a shadowban lobby as if you just got shadowbanned from a normal lobby. If that happens, the timer is reset and you end up in the shadow realm for way longer than you'd normally be. Also, theres no one reviewing ♥♥♥♥, its automated. There's literal cheaters saying they're getting out of shadowbans multiple times.

In my experience there's a lot of cheaters on Multiplayer, but on Warzone I rarely if ever see an actual cheater in shadowban lobbies. Which is ironic, considering Warzone is free and MWII is $70.
